“The Album”

From days long dead, remembered still,
Recalls a frame, a thin-sliced memory:
A tear, a stain, that clouds the image
Yearns the day, yet sheds tomorrow.

Browned, crisp edges turn like years
Through generations. The kindred seraphs
Imprinted in shadow, in setting:
The tiller, the sartor, the blacksmith.
