The dust is settling around here, as I’ve yanked the rug from under you all. Out with the old, in with the new.

Comments, complaints, hate mail… all are welcome with the new theme.

Looks mighty groovy! My eyes need to get used to it, though. They’re used to the darks instead of lights.

Yes, indeed, a passage from the dark to the light. Mark could elaborate on how this is significant in the superhero’s story arc.

Sweet, hatemail! What’s your address again? ;)

I noticed that our gravitars are very small due to the new look. Do you think this is symbolic of your trying to downplay individual egos and quirks on your blog? Sort of a “We’re all different, but when you blur your eyes, we’re all the same” theme?

He he he… just kidding. I think I have too much time on my hands today.

Wow, give a teacher the day off, and she over-thinks everything!

Nice touch with the word “ElectroLund” in your banner image.

Keep in mind that the hero’s final step in their journey more often than not is to confront and defeat the evil that is in themselves. Whether physically or symbolically Rob (by proxy of his theme) had to engage and destroy the shell of his “dark side” self. In this way the phoenix is reborn and rises from the ashes of its old self. Much like a server recycling old storage and bandwidth. *bows to Rob* That will teach you to hand things off to me…

James took my comment! That’s exactly what I was going to say. I think we truly are one flesh! That’s my favorite change. Neat look. Me likes.

I like the new look, Rob! light-colored and space-age-y… like an ipod!

Thanks, all!

Jimmy & Jules — thanks for noticing the embedded word in the banner. I’m pretty proud of my Gimp work on that. :)

Mark — brilliant philosophizing on the hero’s journey. I knew I could count on you.

Mel — nice three-word comment. Sheesh, take some time off. ;-)

Well, I like it. I use Gallery at my school site, and it’s been very reliable. Doesn’t look too bad, either.
