vain numbers

UPDATE #2!

Well, the numbers are in. It’s undeniable — Carl loves me.

It’s been brought to my attention by… well, me… that the statistics page is skewed. It’s counting names, email addresses, and websites as all unique. So if you ever commented with “Ruprect” as your name and then later “Rob”, well that’s two different people in its book.

I’m working on correcting it. But as it stands, Melissa has more comments than she thinks. Phew! But then so does Julie and Carl.

Ok, I have a new plugin for comment stats on the Tech page under “Metrics.” Click that and you’ll see all the commenters along with any nicknames you may have chosen. Another neat feature you’ll see when you click your name under the commenters section… that will take you to a page of all your actual comments and you can see what you said in the past. Kinda neat.

Sheesh! How embarrassing! How do I have more than Sarah? I do enjoy checking my friends blogs each day. I feel like I’ve been in contact with adults! ;-)

Well, Jules, considering that I’ve only been around since September, it’s a little funny that I’m so high up on the list!
Carl, I’m going to take your #1 spot if you’re not careful!

Ah, poor Mel.  But good tactic on increasing your count!  Just think, you’re still ahead of Mom!

Oh man, you combine the thrill of getting comments on your blog with an equally competitive nature in your commenters; you have a winning combination, Rob!  Good tactic to get us all commenting!

Gosh, I’m feeling really out of it now.  I need to stop e-mailing Rob and get back to increasing my own stats here!

I was tempted to spell out something inappropriate one letter at a time to pad my stats but I’ll save my juvenile energy for something else! ;)

Carl, should I be offended by the term, “juvenile?” Or should I be offended by the inference that I was misusing my energy?
