Brahms: day 2

150 voices, full string section of violins, celli, french horns, harp, percussion — awesome.

We just got back from our first orchestral practice. What an amazing experience! It’s hard to put into words, so lush is the sound, so moving. It’s incredible to be finally making music.

I like the feeling of being a small voice among many, contributing to a larger expression. It’s humbling, it’s beautiful. Friday is coming.

Tomorrow is Easter rehearsal, Wednesday is Brahms Day 3. What a week for choir!

    Sounds cool! And big time! No small church choir there. Hope all goes well for your Easter program.
