I like to do solder repair work in my spare time, as you can see in my electronics project archives. I have access to soldering and desoldering irons, microscopes, IC programmers, and other rework tools. I’m comfortable soldering pin pitches down to 0.5mm
The labor rate I charge is pretty cheap, compared to my day job as an electrical engineer. I usually ask for a yuppie food stamp1, depending on the amount of work involved.
