Office Evangelism

When it comes to office life, I have a “separation of church and state” mindset. I don’t have a lot of tolerance for religious preaching there. If there’s to be any talk of religion, it ought to be between two consenting adults, much like most other activities.

For that matter, I have a hard time with evangelism period. It’s an activity that has been fraught the issues such as abuse, colonialism, and “White-saviorism.”

So it is a hard line for me that is crossed when I see tracts show up in my company’s breakroom, as if this is some street corner or public college quad.

Christian evangelistic tracts

I wasn’t about to be held a philosophical hostage at my own place of employment. So I immediately began searching for an atheist answer to a tract, just as a way of offering an polar opposite view. Plus, there are points for baiting that thinking.

Turns out, there are quite a few good options! The one I chose was this cute little tri-fold pamphlet one:

The results were a good, even mixture of viewpoints:
