Thanks for the common sense, CommonSense. I wish you had commented earlier though — I’ve already retired the Nazi work boots.

Yes! Exactly what I told Sar. I couldn’t remember the name of that video game though. Nice, C-man, we’re old school.

Yes, I know it’s like one of those carnival houses where water is running up hill. Rest assured, the shed will be level. 🙂

Yep, this is Sar’s tiny back yard. She’s kind enough to accommodate all my junk. 🙂 I’m claiming the yard!

Might also come in handy as a human “dog house”. 😉

Ahh, yes that’s right. Ebb’s weight (15 pounds!) helped deter his abduction. The just couldn’t drag him away!

Schematic now posted above.

I could probably dig up the schematic and make a scan of it for you.

Ah, interesting point, Clay. Your knowledge of the materials science is better than mine. 😉

Carl, tungsten carbide is so hard a material that it can’t be engraved. That has its own coolness. 🙂

the wilderness between fathers & sons
Megan, you are correct. In re-reading my post, I see now how it’s rather sexist in exclusion. I think that:
1) I was writing with regard to the story at hand, which is specifically about one particular father and his son, and
2) I was reflecting personally (me, being a man)But I stand corrected in agreeing that these themes are gender-neutral. Thanks for the thoughts. Have you seen the film yet?

Well, there you have it, Had. Not much more can be said. So which is it? Are you too conservative or old?

Lol, that’s the secret formula, Eliot. Just keep blogging. As Kip once said: “You’re just jealous that I’ve been chatting with babes all day.”

Good luck, Lynn. You already know more than I do about this battery!

Nice, Andie! Hey, you should make it so that us non-Blogger types can comment. Sarah can tell you how to do it if you can’t find it. 🙂

Ahh, nice, Bruce. Thanks for clearing that up.
Booting up the BeOS on my toothbrush is next on the project list. 🙂

I have to make time for the projects, even if it’s at 1am on a Sunday night! You inspired this one, Sar, when you restocked my change holder. 🙂

Hello, Sarah! Wow, a local. This is a first. Let me get this straight: you’re a banjo-playing fan of Interpol? You are so cool. 🙂
Thanks for dropping by!

Jimmy, sweet gravatar, dude! I’m going to update your email so they all show up here. 😉

Oh, Ang, that really sucks. Sorry to hear it. I’ll keep my eyes peeled!
» Posted By Rob On August 3, 2005 @ 6:21 pm
Hey, Julie! Jimmy should make you one of those gravatar thingies. Like your coffee cup maybe?

Maybe never, Mary. Maybe I’ll join an Anglican monastery** where blogging is forbidden, among other things.
**Hey, Sarah, do the Anglicans have monasteries?

Well, what can I say? I’m rusty and Patti’s got mad pong skillz.
» Posted By Rob On February 27, 2006 @ 10:58 am
Sure, no problem!
» Posted By Rob On February 21, 2006 @ 8:09 pm
That’s all my fault. That whole week was hectic for me right before the trip and I really dropped the ball with plans.
So sorry, Carl and Mary for not cluing you in. Next time I’ll be better about planning out the trip.
