Yeah good read, C-Man. I agree with you. I guess putting a label on friendship has its own hazards. What “best” is supposed to communicate is the depth of the friendship, I think. As opposed to simply playing favorites.
When I met my current roommate in college, we connected deeply too. He’s probably the most similar to me in this stage of life. But I didn’t grow up with him like Jimmy. We didn’t make Star Wars operas in our basement like I did with Jimmy.

It had been going for about 2 hours or so. Yeah, I think you’re right, Julie. The act of making a traditional pot is so much part of the experience! (!!!!!!)
But you really should try some of the cold brew if you ever get a chance. It’s so non-acidic. It’s almost weird how smooth it is.

Well, we both cleaned it up. Didn’t take too long, since it was still wet.
The coffee is brewed cold, but you drink it hot by adding hot water. It’s concentrated in the brew so you have to add more water later.

Weird, speaking of La Jolla:
On April 28, it apparently rained shrimp onto the tennis courts at the Summit residential development in La Jolla, California. According to Scripps Institution of Oceanography curator Bob Burhans, the shrimp were likely sucked up by the wind and dropped over land.

I know, wasn’t that incredible? The experience was like hiding in a closet and peering out to watch Death walk by in his black cloak and sickle.
What I didn’t expect was how relatively clean this twister looked as it passed over. From the distance, it looked so dark from the dirt it was picking up. But as it was upon the camera, it seemed somewhat clear. Interesting. Of course, there’s no telling how severe this one really was.
