I was at choir in my heart.

You have that anti-Democrat iPhone app, huh?

Hate mail

Hmm, that’s unfortunate. But then Cindy’s not a big giver either.

I’m afraid you guys are the exception. It’s a very rare thing to find people as civic-minded as you are, cherishing the privilege to give freely. Most people won’t give unless they have to.

I worked on my church’s Stewardship Committee this year. It was an eye-opener, and these are all Christians that we were appealing to! Our pastor gave an interesting statistic recently too: the highest contributions of income in the state of Colorado came from a small farming town, south of Pueblo (something like 13% of their income). The lowest came from a very affluent town near Boulder (under 3%). The rich get richer and the poor poorer, but the latter is richer in spirit.

James » It’s the details that matter! To know the truth, you must love it.
John » Thanks for that link! It’s amazing what can be done with editing, huh? Case in point, The Shining as a romantic comedy:

I think I might be one of the TAL dinosaurs. I started listening at least 6 or 7 years ago, and like you, have since gone back to the archives and probably listened to all of them. You’re right — some are boring, but almost all have at least some hook or interesting aside.

And Eliot, you are responsible for my addition to Radio Lab! Wow, that show is completely fantastic. I love its mixture of lush audio mixing with science exploration. It’s just a really great show. I’ve listened to all their episodes now too. I think my favorite is probably the emergence episode. Really mind-blowing!

My mistake on the Real Audio. That shows how old I am. Back in the day, they used Real for all their archives. 🙂

James » Just you wait. I’m going to turn you into a liberal yet!

» Posted By Rob On June 17, 2008 @ 7:09 am

James » You can also listen to all the previous episodes for free from their website in Real Audio format. Once a week, they release a podcast version in mp3. That’s how I listen.

Looks like it’s on at 10am on Sundays on your local NPR station. 😉

It’s too bad the smoke got out of this gizmo already.  When’s your husband going to fix it for you?!

Yep, I’m alive. I’ve also been sucked in with a little side blog project… http://www.TrampledRose.org. Check it.

Trailer Roundup (vol. 10): Trailer, the Sequel

Ha, I knew that would happen! Like reading or watching Harry Potter will instantly cause you to lose your salvation. In the interest of fairness, there should have been a disclaimer on the Chronicles of Narnia, warning of the Christian subtext.

Trailer Roundup (vol. 9)

Hey, I like your gravatar, Bruce. That’s a cool effect.

» Posted By Rob On October 22, 2007 @ 9:27 am

Mwhahaha! Yep, that’s the awesomeness of Gravatars 2! It allows for cacheing gravatars and using your own custom random set of generic gravatars.

I have a folder of images I, ahem… “borrowed” from Netflix. They have a set of similar generic profile images they assign to new users. I Gimped them to be more orangified! You can see the whole set on that theme tour post above.

About the link indication icons, I’m not sure if it caches. I’ve not noticed any page loading lags though.

Thanks for the movie tip, Bruce. Is this it? Wow, that’s… wow. 🙂

Those cute little icons are a plugin: Link Indication. I’ve got more on display on this post. So fun!

And of course, here’s all the plugins I use.

Trailer Roundup (vol. 7)

Carl, I read recently that ATU is set to become the next big cult movie. I hadn’t expected that, but I can see how it might happen.

Yep, Ironman looks awesome. RDJ will make it awesome.

Imagining the tenth dimension

Yeah, I guess you’re right, what with the snow and all.

It sure is a good thing that no one reads our blogs. Otherwise, how would we get away with such sappy PDA?

Speaking as the resident IT guy, you prolly weren’t clicking right. Did you try CTRL + ALT + DEL?

Just wait till X-mas, babe. Santy Claus just might make your wish come true! Ho, ho, ho! 🙂

oops, wrong button

I already waste enough time modding my wordpress gadgets. I don’t need another project. Hey wait a minute — where’s your blog, mister?

More Craigslist scam baiting

Wow, that’s elaborate, Laurie. Good job being vigilant.

» Posted By Rob On October 29, 2018 @ 9:17 am

Isn’t it amazing how long this scam is running? Glad you didn’t get fooled and googled it instead. 😉

» Posted By Rob On October 9, 2018 @ 8:16 am

Crazy story, Howard. Stay vigilant everyone!

» Posted By Rob On November 18, 2017 @ 10:01 am

Now this is classic! A spammer went to the trouble of coming here, to a post about scam baiting, to scam… who? Me? All of us? Nice.
